Can Southwest weather the storm?

• More than 700 flights within, into, or out of the United States have already been canceled for Tuesday, according to FlightAware, as winter weather moves across central U.S. Just under 10% of delays and cancelations are from Southwest Airlines.

• This will be Southwest’s first major weather system since the operational meltdown late last month—and a test to see whether the airline can, quite literally, weather the storm.

• Southwest is already issuing weather waivers from impacted cities, which include Austin, Dallas, and Nashville.
