As you’ll see with some of the deals below, I’m seeing a bunch of fare war competitions to some of the most popular destinations worldwide. Fare wars happen when airlines target their competitor airlines with cheaper tickets. Take this example between New York/Newark and Sao Paulo for next March:
Four airlines are offering virtually the same product — an economy class, round-trip ticket — for the same price. Why? Because one airline discounted tickets on this route (which can be as high as $1,600 round-trip) — and the other airlines followed suit to be competitive.
This is excellent for travelers because it means more flight options and tickets at a fraction of the price. The only downside is that fare war tickets typically don’t last that long, so when you see these types of deals, you should jump on them ASAP.

I was on FOX 5 D.C. last night to give tips about making your Thanksgiving travel go as smoothly as possible. Planning to travel? Best of luck. You’ll be one of the 55 million or so people expected to travel 50 miles or more, according to figures from AAA. This will also be the third busiest Turkey Day travel season since AAA started tracking back in 2000.
If your travel plans are flexible, try heading out tomorrow morning or even Thanksgiving day (before 11am) to avoid the chaos.

This looks like a fare war 👀 👀 between BOS-LHR because there are similar deals for around $2,200 round-trip on British Airways, Delta, and Virgin Atlantic through September 2023. Transatlantic business class tickets typically cost $5,000 round-trip. Fare wars don’t last that long, so book ASAP!
